After releasing "The Lucy Show-Season 1" on DVD last summer, CBS/Paramount is releasing the second season on July 13th, 2010. This fabulous and entertaining sitcom began its second year on September 30th, 1963, and although the series was broadcast in black and white on CBS, the shows themselves were filmed in glorious color to take advantage of huge syndication sales in the years to come. In this 4 DVD boxset 28 wonderful color episodes are included along with the following bonuses: the original "Lucille Ball Comedy Hour Special with Bob Hope"; clips from the "Opening Night" and "CBS: The Stars Address" programs; newly recorded interviews; cast commercials; and more. "The Lucy Show" finished its second year at #6 on the all-important Nielsen Ratings chart cementing itself as a television hit. This season also marks Gale Gordon's first year in his co-starring role as Mr. Mooney.

So glad the 2nd season of THE LUCY SHOW is coming. I am anxious to see them in near pristine condition. My understanding was that Lucille ordered all the color episodes of this series to be filmed with some sort of "soft filter" lens to smooth out her wrinkles!!!! Hence the reason why they may never be razor sharp visuals. But they should be free of dirt, scratches, splices and other imperfections visible on broadcast TV (and unofficial DVDs).

I will be picking this series up straight away, and yes, I certainly hope that Paramount will release the remaining 4 seasons in the near future.

The inclusion of the Lucille Ball/Bob Hope special is quite important on this set as it probably means that the later 1966 LUCY IN LONDON special will be included on whatever season set it is part of (it features Lucy Carmichael in London, but without Gale Gordon).

So, finally, with all the I LOVE LUCY episodes now on disc, and MPI releasing all the HERE'S LUCY...

I Love "The Lucy Show!"
The Lucy Show is Lucille Ball's follow up series to I Love Lucy. It was a very funny series, especially the years with Vivian Vance. This is a top ten series and Lucy won two Emmy awards for her work on this show. The laughs continue with the second season of the is wonderful series. This season also marks the first of any 'Lucy' series to be filmed in Color! The remastering they did with this set is spectacular! It looks as if it was filmed yesterday. The episodes are so funny, and if you want to laugh you must buy this set. If you enjoyed season one and enjoyed I Love Lucy over the years then you will love The second season of The Lucy Show. And if this DVD does well, the third season will be released quickly, so everyone go out and buy this wonderful series, and laugh along with Lucy and Vivian in living Color!

Hawaii Five-O
I am glad to reply regarding my satisfaction with my recent purchase from Amazon.
I just received 9 seasons of Hawaii Five-0, the main character played by Jack Lord is very dynamic and powerful actor and he makes the series. I watched some of the new series Five-0 that was released here a few weeks ago but it is badly cast and does not have the same impact and appeal to me and was disappointing. The original is the best.

Again I must say I am always impressed with the service I receive from Amazon. My order B003KSO3Q6 Hawaii Five-O Seasons 1-9 was dispatch within a short time of me sending it and I had it in about two weeks. Amazon sure beats the service and price available in my country. I have no hesitation in recommending their products and services to all. A movie the FBI Story I ordered a few years ago from a major department store here took six months and I still didn't get it. Here we are at the seventh, and final, season of the Melissa Joan Hart series, Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Our fair Sabrina has left college and has now joined the workforce as a journalist for Scorch magazine. The first episode of the season, "Total Sabrina Live", provides the conclusion to the Season 6 finale ("I Fall To Pieces"); but with no "previously on" segment to explain what's happened before, it doesn't make any sense to new viewers.

I do not own this yet but i have pre ordered it. i have seen the season on television and personily love it the final episode was so cute. i own all of the seasons now just waiting on this last one...... believe me its the best!! i would have written a review when the dvd came in but i couldnt wait... every sabrina fan would love it. even non fans would love the last episode. hope this pursuaeds you into buying this season!!!!

Numb3rs: The Final Season

Fitting End for an Underrated Series
I haven't kept a close eye on "Numb3rs" thanks to its dead end 10 pm Friday night airing, but when I had tuned in (primarily via On Demand), I rarely was ever disappointed. I will submit that the mathematics used in this sixth season wasn't the greatest and in fact during one episode, 'And the Winner Is', didn't make a whole lot of sense in that the theory was sound but how they came about it and in turn found the culprits was on the iffy side. But, I've always felt that while indeed the show's gimmick was using mathematics to solve crimes it is the characters and their arcs that make it worthwhile viewing. In the sixth season I could immediately tell that even the writers had an inkling this would be the final season as they began tying up the characters' stories and by the series finale, as a casual fan, I was mostly satisfied. Yes, it is a very low key ending to the show as even the plot was in line with most of the stories that have come before but I wouldn't want it any other...

Satisfying ending to a great series
I started watching Numb3rs a couple of seasons ago after my mom convinced me to give it a shot. Since then I've gotten hooked, keeping up with each new episode. I was concerned when the show was moved to a late-evening Friday slot, which I was afraid would be the end of it. I'm not sure if it was the time that directly led to Numb3rs cancellation, but either way, season six ended up being the end of the road for the show.

It seems like the writers knew the show was out of steam near the beginning of the season when they are started to wrap up different character's stories, and started neglecting the mathematics. I know the math angle has pretty much just a gimmick from the beginning to distinguish Numb3rs from the mass of police procedurals on television, but in the last season the writers seemed to get a little lazy with the math, and took it into places that didn't make much sense and making it even harder to believe. But hey, taken purely as part of the show, it worked...

Good series losing steam
While I loved this series toward the end it definitely began running out of steam. As usual, to zip things up, the writers began adding more racey themes, never too offensive, but I really enjoyed earlier episodes where I felt comfortable viewing with the whole family. There is nothing too racy but I sensed the writers lost their commitment to producing something smart and enjoyable for the whole family. I definitely recommend earlier seasons.
